No not her reply to you…I mean literally! Hopefully you know some cool hiking places far away from other people. If not then go find a tranquil area complete with waterfall!
This is especially a cool idea if she’s into all that kind of stuff!
So pack all her favourite food and some champagne. Make sure not to get too intoxicated as to make your isolated trip home too dangerous!
Take her under a waterfall and propose there and then, on one knee of course! She’ll love it! Don’t even think about hiding the ring under a rock or I’ll come and steal it myself! Don’t think I’m joking!

1. You should not be surprised by her answer! If you think there’s a chance she might say NO, then you’ve not being going out with her long enough! If on the off chance she says YES then you probably don’t know enough about her in the first place to be asking! If that makes sense?
2. Surprise her! Don’t tell her a week in advance that you’ve booked a hot air balloon ride over the grand canyon! You’d be amazed how many guys are this stupid!
3. If it’s a public proposal then be extra sure she’s going to say yes! Having your proposal brought up on the score board at a half time Football game could be the most humiliating experience of your life
4. Personalise the proposal! If she loves to go camping, then propose to your girlfriend during a camping trip!
5. For heavens sake, look after the ring! Guard it like it’s your precious! Don’t risk losing it as part of your engagement scheme by burying it sand or giving it to an idiot waiter on minimum wage to bring over!
6. Get on one knee! Literally! It’s old and cliché but it’s the vision she’s had of her proposal since she was a little girl, so don’t ruin it!
7. Actually have a ring to hand! Which will show her that you’ve actually gone and planned the whole thing and you’re not just asking her to marry you on a whim!
8. Practice your proposal! Run through every eventuality in your head, know exactly what could go wrong and have a back up plan! This one is a little public, so you need to know that your girl would enjoy this type of thing! Also check the local laws for riding Horses through parkland.
1. Hire a knight’s armor costume.
2. Rent a beautiful steed, black Stallion, mount…a horse!
3. Arrange to meet her in a nice park, perhaps somewhere you go for walks and is special to the two of you!
4. Put 1 and 2 together, or wear the knights armor costume and for heavens sake get some assistance with the Horse, you can’t be too careful!
5. Keep her waiting for a few minutes (but no longer than 10, you don’t want her to say NO!!!) and turn up as her knight in shining armor!
6. Have a friend hiding in some nearby bushes (preferably someone with a clear criminal record) and as you approach have him play Holst’s “Jupitor” or alternatively have him simply press the “Play” button!
7. As you arrive, get down on one knee and present the ring with some princely flare!
