The Beach Proposal
Asking your loved one to marry you on the beach is tried and tested without being overdone. You should make it personal, as with any proposal of course! This is one of the Best Marriage Proposals and needs a little planning!

1. Make a walk on the beach appear spontaneous! It should be a quiet or private beach, but most importantly it should be a beach you’ve both had a shared experience!

2. You should have previously prepared a love poem for your girlfriend and stuck it in a bottle somewhere in the sand. You can singe the edges of the paper to make it look old and authentic. As you progress through the poem, you can add in some personal touches so that it slowly appears to be your girl you’re talking about. This will really surprise her!

3. Go digging for shells (conveniently around the area you’ve hidden your bottle) or build sandcastles. When you find the bottle, act all surprised and read the poem to her!

4. You can then pull the ring out from your pocket!

This is a very romantic idea which she will love. It’s an easy idea to make personal to the two of you as you can choose a special beach where you’ve had a shared experience. I would hide the bottle on the morning of the day you plan to take action, definitely not the night before due to the tide (you’d be surprised how many people don’t realize) and please remember where you’ve hidden the bottle! This is especially true if you decide to put the ring in the bottle also!
